Construction has commenced on seven, two bedroomed contemporary apartments located in the heart of Stonehaven.
The former Bervie Chipper site, damaged by fire in 2009, is undergoing a transformation led by local investment firm West Coast Estates.
Iftikar Mian, director of West Coast Estates, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to get started with giving this prominent site a new lease of life. Opportunities to buy a new-build home in Stonehaven are few, and far between and we can’t wait for people in the area to see the quality of these apartments. They will make a great home for a wide range of people including first-time buyers, professionals and those looking to downsize.”
BDG Thomson Gray is acting as Quantity Surveyor on the four storey development that is due for completion in summer 2019.
Shirley Thomson, Director of BDG Thomson Gray, said: “We are delighted to be assisting with this development in the heart of Stonehaven. The site is in a great location, and is regenerating a site that has lain derelict for too long."
