Located in the Buckburn area of Aberdeen, the project comprised the development of a site in to affordable residential apartment blocks. The development consisted of two new mulit-storey buildings containing a total of 38 nr apartments. Externally, the development included associated site works, parking, external services and drainage.
The construction generally was that of traditional cavity blockwork wall construction, with the roof being constructed of timber trusses and finished with concrete tiles. The site was finished with tarmac and paving blocks generally with aspects of both soft and hard landscaping.
BDG Thomson Gray provided a full range of Employer’s Agent and CDM Co-Ordination services on the project.
The completed development comprises economical but stylish new apartments, together with communal lobby areas.
This project in Aberdeen has proved successful, with the accommodation offering an affordable housing solution in a well-connected location. Now complete, the development is helping with the growing demand for affordable housing in the area.
