Situated on the University’s medical school campus at Foresterhill, Aberdeen, the building is located right in the centre of the University’s medical teaching and research facilities.
The building has been designed to manage the demands of a variety of busy and complex specialist laboratory environments. Spread over 6 floors, it has a total floor area of over 10,000 square metres. The building is currently achieving a BREEAM Rating of ‘Outstanding’ which is the highest rating a building can achieve on this sustainability scale.
BDG Thomson Gray provided Health and Safety services on the project. The service included the provision of CDM Co-Ordinator services.
The completed development has provided a new purpose built educational facility for the University, creating a new space enabling it to continue thriving as a global leader in nutrition research.
