Pre-Contract Project Management for 283 new affordable homes

The Project is a development of affordable housing for Aberdeen City Council, located in Dyce, an area of Aberdeen to the North West of the City Centre.

The scheme comprises 283 units, in four number five storey steel framed blocks of accommodation.  Within each block there will be a mix of one, two, three and four bed units with ground floor four bed units having semi-private garden spaces.

The vision for this project is to create a welcoming residential development which responds to its local environment. The site will include new quality green space and covered seating areas as well as two well equipped children’s play parks. This will provide a high quality environment for future residents and the local community.

Our Involvement

BDG Thomson Gray acted as Project Manager for the pre-contract phase of works, enabling First Endeavour to reach agreement with the Local Authority for the delivery of one of the largest social housing schemes in the city in recent times, and delivering a substantial number of the authority’s current 4,000 home target.

BDG Thomson Gray have since been appointed by Ogilvie Construction as Employer’s Agent for the post-contract phase of the project which is currently ongoing.

Project Outcomes

The Pre-Contract element of the project is now complete, with the construction underway on site. The development, when complete, will offer a significant number of affordable homes in the well-connected location of Dyce.
